Sony has announced the new Killzone 2 bundle for the UK. It will be price at £299.99 and will contain an 80Gb PS3, a Dual Shock controller and of course, a copy of Killzone 2. Release date still TBC.
And for European territories? EuSony has confirmed to VG247 that they also are getting the bundle however no price has been set.

A new Gears of War 2 patch is expected to be released by the end of the month and new Achievements to come with it.
7 new Flashback and Combustible map packs related (total worth of 175G) was revealed by Xbox.com. According to Epic, the new patch will fix some of the online exploits and make some small changes in order to improve the online gameplay.

Guerrilla Games: "No plans for co-op in Killzone 2"

Guerrilla Games has told PSU in an exclusive interview that there are currently no plans to implement co-op in Killzone 2.

"Currently there are no plans for co-op in Killzone 2," said game director, Mathijs de Jonge. "Technically it would be quite difficult to implement it for the story mode as for example the mission sections are loaded in seamlessly – no loading screens , and that would cause issues with teleporting players. Killzone 2 Expected To Sell More/Equal Than Metal Gear Solid 4

V4vg.com writes -Sony has been on the playing field since the days it had been rejected by Nintendo and their idea of creating a CD based gaming device. This generation the competition has been different, but this has not deterred the company to give up on pushing a steady and stellar quality of games on its platform. We recently spent some time talking with a Sony rep, who had an interesting anecdote when broached upon Killzone 2. Since this is not an official statement by the company or the developer, the anonymity of the representative is being respected - “It would be a lie to say Sony has not invested heavily in Killzone 2 and each individual at Guerilla games has worked even harder to satisfy any expectations kept by the company and their loyal community. I do see the game breaking a barrier with a huge variety of groups and expect it to see sales as good as Metal Gear Solid 4 if not beyond it.”

PS3 sales up 130 per cent during Xmas

Eurogamer writes: "A Sony Computer Entertainment America exec has said sales of PS3 were up by more than 130 per cent during the festive period.

He described 2008 as a pivotal year for PlayStation with line-up in the industry on offer.

"Early internal data points to an increase of more than 130 per cent of PS3 hardware sales for the holiday season - since Black Friday - and we're also seeing a growth of nearly 40 per cent in total PS3 hardware sales for the calendar year," Jackson continued. "We remain confident this momentum will continue into the new year."

JStevenson - community manager at Insomniac games said something about this Killzone2 we all probably will agree on "I did indeed beat KZ2 tonight and it is indeed awesome. I know there will be plenty of comments, opinions, accolades and nitpicks, but for me, the game was fun.

My favorite part of the game was when you get this certain weapon. I really really love it and I got the trophy for oh so fast - wish it was available more.

Anyways --- major props to all the folks at GG. " So pre-order Killzone 2 now!!!

Gears Of War 2 Patch Details

The President of Epic Marc Rein has released information about an upcoming patch for
Gears of War 2."This patch will address bugs and exploits as well as add some new achievements related to downloadable content all indicators are it will go live within January".

Zac, petbird, and Jonmag are remaking in Resident Evil 2 and Left 4 Dead. Titled Biohazard 2, the mod will recreate parts of the Resident Evil 2 game into multiplayer co-op scenarios in Left 4 Dead.

"The campaign places the four survivors on the abandoned streets of racoon city after a truck crashes into your car. You head on foot to the police station in hope of rescue. Upon entering the station you receive help from an injured cop who points you in the direction of the sewers to escape the infested city, however the 4 survivors soon end up discovering the reason behind the infection when they come across a top secret high tech research facility by the 'Umbrella' corporation."
